As the days go by, more and more is happening in the world, and I notice more and more of a political divide. Now, given that we all posses the same mental capacities, it seems very odd to see such a divide in politics.
I know some of it can come from partisanism, people supporting whoever they are politically affiliated with without question, and from that, refusal to compromise and work with any opposing party can come about.
At this point I feel it is important to discern what exactly is going on in the world , particularly with what is seen with biased journalism coming from major news networks, emotionally-fueled content coming from social media influencers, misinformation from AI-generated content, and generally a lack of open discourse and resolve from opposing views.
It’s sad to see some of the injustices happening from some political parties, particularly in the UK, where migrants have been flooding their system, committing many horrid crimes, and no pushback is had in fear of being seen as racist. They go so far as to conceive their own patriots in a negative light, even arresting people for social media posts that criticize the government. That is the very authoritarian and fascist behaviour that the west has so long fought against.
It is seeping into the US and Canada now, too, as patriots are harassed by groups who would rather support terrorist and criminal organizations than see the rule of law implemented. Hamas, a pro-Nazi group that publicly calls for the genocide of Jews, is who many in the ‘free Palestine’ movement support, and anti-ICE demonstrators are only making it easier for organized crime groups to continue their rackets to push drugs, trafficking, and other detriments to their own communities and societies.
I have recently considered, such extremism coming from some protesting groups as well as those in power will only cause a pushback toward the opposing political spectrum. Though it is so horrid to see and experience what the delusions of some people have led to, in a way it is letting others see just how far some ideologies will go, exposing now what instead might have taken some years to manifest.
I have considered: Is this a part of God’s plan? To let recklessness flourish as a warning to us what its ideological roots can lead to? Years ago, homosexuality was hotly debated. Now as much of society has come to accept it (very wrongly in my opinion as a Christian), and we see further very concerning social horrors develop out of that culture. People unable to define what a woman or man truly is, mutilating bodies to appease mental delusions, encouraging identity to go beyond what someone truly is. The list goes on.
Even as abortion has come into mainstream acceptance, the numbers reveal a shocking reality. Most abortions do not involve rape, incest or some other life-concerning precedent that some might accept to deem abortion appropriate. Most come as the result of the sexual culture of the day that does not save and respect it for the institute of marriage. The creation of life then becomes an inconvenience that the pleasures of sex lead to, and to keep those pleasures active while not being burdened with the responsibility of its outcome, a sacrifice must be made – a human child that is called otherwise, dismissed as a ‘clump of cells’ with no say or right to its own life. No, and even though another person was involved to create this new life, we are told the issue is about the one person’s body and ‘right to choose.’ Anyone can see that to be very inequal and sexist. The man and baby involved have their rights, too.
As these horrors persist in society, it should serve as a warning to all as to what their ideological roots lead to. Yet, many hold on to those ideologies, claiming liberty and freedom for the individual, to do what they decide with their own bodies. The reality is, though, their actions don’t just affect themselves. Any sexual activity inevitably involves another person, whether physically or even psychically. That’s what its design is for, and unless its creator, God, is okay with any form of its use, it will lead to sadness, regret and dismay.
